Unknown-1_cropBrooks Rexroat is a writer, teacher, and musician. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he is a 2016-2016 Fulbright U.S. Scholar to the Russian Federation. At the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University in Siberia, he is working with a team of collagues to measure the effects of creative prose writing instruction and workshops on the conversational skills development of second-language learners of English. His U.S. home campus is Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he teaches courses in writing and Appalachian literature at Marshall University. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in print journalism from Morehead State University (Kentucky) and worked as an award winning reporter, editor, and photographer at community, regional, and metropolitan newspapers. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing (prose) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and his writing has appeared or is forthcoming in such publications as Day One, The Prague Revue, The Montreal Review, The Cleveland Review, Weave Magazine,The Literary Bohemian, Midwestern Gothic, Matchbook Literary Magazine and Boston Literary Magazine.
